Handling Multiple Currencies: What You Need to Know

When managing an account with multiple currencies, a careful setup is essential—but don’t worry, once it’s done, the process becomes very straightforward.

Here’s how to get started:

  1. Settings - Set Your Primary Currency
Create your account using the main currency you’ll work with, such as EUR.

  2. Content - Add Products in the Primary Currency
Go to your Content Library and create all the products priced in EUR.

  3. Proposals - Create Templates in the Primary Currency
Design your proposal templates using the primary currency.

  4. Settings - Switch to Secondary Currency
Next, go to Settings and change the currency to your secondary option. (Click here to learn how to change currencies.)

  5. Content - Add Products in the Secondary Currency
Return to the Content Library and create the same products again, now reflecting prices in the secondary currency.

  6. Proposals - Create Templates for the Secondary Currency
Build proposal templates that match your secondary currency.

🧑‍🏫 Important:
You cannot simply duplicate products or templates for different currencies. Each one must be created from scratch. This is because when you create new products or templates, they automatically pull settings from the current currency configuration. Duplicating would retain the original currency settings, which could cause confusion.

Responding to Requests

When a request arrives, simply select the appropriate template. It will automatically display prices in the correct currency.

You’ll notice that products priced in a different currency from the selected template will be disabled—this is by design to prevent accidental currency mixing.
